Installing the Microsoft Dial-Up Adapter

The Microsoft Dial-Up Adapter is necessary to establish a connection to SoHoConnect. To establish whether or not the Dial-Up Adapter is installed, double click the My Computer icon on your desktop.

Double click Control Panel icon. and then double click the Network icon. If the list of installed network components contains Dial-Up Adapter (such as in the screen shot below), you do not need to continue with the installation.

If you are following the step-by-step guide to setting up a connection with Windows 95, skip to the next section on Installing the Microsoft TCP/IP Protocol.

If Dial-Up Adapter does not appear, click the Add button in the Configuration tab. Click Adapter and click Add.

Scroll down the list of Manufacturers and select Microsoft. Make sure that Dial-Up Adapter is selected in the Network Adapters window. Click OK when you are finished.
