You may attempt
to dial into SoHoConnect and subsequently receive a message informing
you that Dial-Up Networking could not negotiate a compatible set of network
protocols you specified in the Server Types. This is a very common problem,
which could be caused by many things. There are several things you can
check to fix this problem.
The DNS settings in Control Panel may be incorrect or duplicated. The first thing to do is to make sure that your TCP/IP settings in the Control Panel Network section are configured correctly. Please skip to the section on Configuring TCP/IP Properties for instructions.
If the above does not fix the problem, the DNS settings in Dial-Up Networking may be incorrect. Please skip to the section on Setting Up Your Dial-Up Networking Connection for instructions.
If you have checked (and corrected if necessary) the above two components, and the problem still persists, we suggest that you configure Windows 95 for a Manual Login. Please click here for detailed instructions on configuring your system for a Manual Login.
